Beginning Knitting

Knit Basics 1 will cover the fundamentals of knitting: cast on, knit, purl and bind off. Knit Basics 2 teaches you how to knit in the round, on circular and double pointed needles, increase and decrease as you make a hat. I teach both Continental and English style of knitting and can teach right handed or left handed methods.

Other Projects

In these classes the students learn to read patterns and learn the techniques needed for the specific projects. Often this will be mirrored increases and decreases, picking up stitches, short rows and felting. Try the Felted Clog Slippers class, or Mobius scarf Class. I also teach sock knitting knitting, toe up or top down, on double pointed needles or a long circular needle.

Beginning Weaving

Learn the basics of weaving in a simple way on a Rigid Heddle Loom that is provided to use in the class. You learn to direct warp the loom in a color and weave effect and weave an entire scarf in a day or weekend using knitting yarns.Private,beginning/refresher jack or table loom lessons at your home are available as well.
